Heritage Restoration at Circular Quay by Valen Project Services

Heritage Restoration at Circular Quay

Valen Project Services have been engaged to work alongside the Government Heritage Team to undertake significant heritage restoration works at Circular Quay on the historic Waterfront Heritage Buildings, both the former Sydney Cove Oyster Bar and Portobello Café. Click the links for each property to read more about their heritage significance via the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority website.

Additional Project Works

Working alongside the client during a rapid turnaround of works, we have coordinated additional project requirements stemming from inspections undertaken by incumbent providers once the make good was complete. These include additional works to the hydraulics, upgrade to new grease trap, repointing and masonry restoration works, comprehensive remediation of the heritage timber windows and doors, and thorough inspections and assessments of the roof including replacement of the terracotta slate tiles which are unique to these buildings.
